209 was a great year for the Rangers.  I had felt they had been competitive in 2008, and I really expected them to
compete for a playoff spot in '09.  I almost bought the playoff package this year, but they lost some bad games in
the middle to end of August that really hurt them down the stretch. Michael Young got hurt in early September
and was out for the rest of the season.  Hamilton was off and on, and it just didn't come together.  Also, we had
a guy named Frank Francisco 'closing' games all year by allowing singles, walks, and wild pitches.  Dema and I
had lunch in the Diamond Club again.  The Rangers had fan appreciation day, a day where they give gifts to
random fans, and my seat was called.  I got an autographed Neftali Feliz baseball!  It was just a beautiful day that
day.  Anyways, Francisco blew the save opportunity and the Rangers lost in the last innings after leading the
whole game.  2009 was over.
