Opening day 2014.  I've gotten pretty good at crab boiling, and I brought my rig again to feed the folks I
was tailgating with.  Dema could not go this year, the first year since 2008 we couldn't go together on
account of State testing.  So, I loaded up the Camaro alone and took the EZ up, crab, fixins, cigars and
headed out.  Clay was already waiting for me and had a prime spot picked out.  We lost the EZ up as a
wild wind gust suddenly appeared and destroyed both our tents.  Dad took off work and Jon made a
surprise appearance.  Kim and Laura were there and Jerah even showed up.  Uncle Ronnie and Jake had
standing room tickets, so they came by and the party was on.  The game wasn't a bust in that there was a
lot of scoting and it was exciting, but the Rangers did lose. This was the first time I'd attended an
Opening Day loss.  This was also the second time I'd seen Cliff Lee pitch for an opponent on a Ranger's
opener since he was Cleveland's pitcher in 2009.  Yu Darvish was supposed to start, but Tanner
Scheppers got the nod since everyone else was hurt, a foreshadow of things to come this season.  Kim,
Laura, Jon, and I sat outside the Camaro for a bit after the game.  All in all, a great day. Can't wait for
2015!
